Research and development in the area of the national standard is focused into developing new calibration methods and procedures, researching measurement uncertainty, developing new measuring instruments and developing software support for performing measurements and calculating measurement results.
Research and development projects are most important laboratory activities. The main goal of the projects is extending the standard basis and improving the calibration and measurement capabilities.
